Warehouse Quality Associate cGMP

We have an opportunity for a Warehouse Quality Associate with nutraceutical or pharmaceutical experience in 21 CFR and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) experience to join our team. This role is responsible for dietary supplement products received in the warehouse and ensuring FDA regulations and procedures are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow the FDA regulations and procedures for warehousing and distribution of dietary supplements specifically:

Subpart G Components, Packaging, and Label Control

Subpart L Packaging and Labeling Control System

Subpart M Holding and Distributing

Subpart N Returns

  • Communicate efficiently and effectively to the appropriate Quality Team member(s) on all complaints received that involve contract manufacturer s defects.
  • Review receiving records from warehouse personnel and accurately verify and record all incoming finished goods as per SOPs.
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage, photograph and record any damage on receiving paperwork.
  • Identify any product defects, determine how to resolve the issue, and immediately report to the Quality Team and the Warehouse Management Team.
  • Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications and/or conducting a visual inspection. Recommend product for release and/or and rejection.
  • Works with Quality Control Associate on retain cage management, including destruction of expired products.
  • Tag stored pallets with appropriate tags indicating active status of pallet and its contents.
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively to the appropriate Quality Team member(s) all complaints received that involve contract manufacturer s defects.
  • Perform building and facility audits.
  • Pull samples listed on test request forms and submit to third party labs to ensure testing is completed.
  • Collaborates with Warehouse and Quality Team on product returns and deposition.
  • Controls Material Destruction when disposition calls for it.
  • Works cross departmentally with the warehouse team ensure a healthy and effective communication is upheld.
  • Performs other Quality related duties as needed.


Qualifications & Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience in Quality Control in dietary supplements.
  • A passion for health, fitness and wellness is a plus!
  • Overall understanding of dietary supplements/cosmetics, specifically 21 CFR part 111, current Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in manufacturing, packaging, labeling, or holding & distributing operations for dietary supplements
  • Experience with ISO Certified Laboratories
  • Ability to follow and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
  • Proficient with Google Drive
  • Monday.com and Zendesk experience is a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive documents
  • Ability to interact well with colleagues at all levels

Physical Requirements:

  • Work involves sitting, standing, and walking most of the workday.
  • Typing and applying pressure with the fingers and palm.
  • Conveying detailed spoken instructions accurately, clearly, and at times, quickly.
  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech sounds in person and on a device such as a computer or telephone.
  • Reading and writing in English
  • Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., reading small print)
  • Repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Occasional travel, normally less than 5% of the time.
