Production Supervisor


The Production Supervisor is instrumental in maintaining and improving production processes through effectively managing teams and equipment. Identify areas for improvement and organize training opportunities for a talented and diverse team. Able to analyze production data and offer constructive improvements to optimize production output. Work in accordance with current FDA, ISO regulations. Full-time, onsite in Redmond, WA covering split shift.


Key Responsibilities:


Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; facilitating corrections within processes. Support work schedule based on business needs.


Manages staff by recruiting and training employees, communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; mentoring, training, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Develops personal growth opportunities. Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action. Write and deliver performance reviews.


Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions. Writes /reviews manufacturing documentation (SOPs and MPMs).


Maintains workflow by monitoring process steps; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.


Follows established Quality System procedure, participates and contributes MRB and NCR. Write nonconforming material records and participate in subsequent dispositions and corrective/preventative actions. Write CAPA records and participate in corrective/preventative actions.


Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions, and responding to requests.


When/where needs, contributes to team effort by hands-on building, training, and reworking.


Experience and Education:


5 years minimum Supervisory or Management experience required

Bachelor's degree or high school diploma with relevant experience

3-5+ years of direct experience in a manufacturing plant

Experience in the medical device industry highly preferred

Effective oral/written communication skills and problem-solving skills

Ability to maintain good relationships with workers

Performance management and mentoring skills

Good management and interpersonal skills

Good decision making and troubleshooting skills

Hands on manufacturing and assembly skills

Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)



Salary range for this position is $70-90k per year which is the general base range for a successful candidate in the State of Washington. The successful candidate s actual pay will be based on various factors such as skills, qualifications and experience.
