Role Summary:

The R&D Chemist drives innovation in food product development and formulation enhancement while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct research and experiments for new food ingredients and flavors.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for formulation optimization.

- Utilize expertise in fermentation processes and preservation techniques.

- Investigate and apply mold inhibitors to prevent contamination.

- Analyze raw materials and finished products using lab techniques.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.

- Document research findings accurately and participate in sensory evaluations.

Essential Qualifications:

- Experience in the ingredients and flavors industry.

- Proficiency in fermentation processes and preservation methods.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Education/Certification:

- Bachelor s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field.

- 2-5 years of R&D experience in the food industry.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

- Works in a warehouse environment with mechanical parts.

- Lifts up to 55lbs regularly and engages in repetitive motions.

- Requires standing for extended periods and manual dexterity.

- Able to communicate and hear effectively in the work environment.
