The **Warehouse Safety and Onboarding Specialist** is responsible for the successful on-boarding and training of new employees. This position will play a vital role in driving key aspects of the on-boarding processes, overseeing online training and compliance, and administration of Bunzls comprehensive environmental health and safety (EHS) program.
***Responsibilities:***
* Administer comprehensive EHS safety program including online training and compliance for all employees, policies, and programs to train, support, and communicate safety as a cultural, core value
* Implement schedules and conduct audits of pre & post shift inspections; coordinate branch equipment maintenance and repairs; ensure PPE replenishment
* Manage the Bunzl Retail Onboarding handbook with new hires
* Participate in accident investigations utilizing root cause analysis, identifying hazards, and implementing solutions to address safety risks
* Assist with the development and execution of branch sustainability objectives; to include documenting waste, recycling, sustainability and proactively identifying opportunities
* Ensure that safety technology tools are used, results are examined, trend data is analyzed, and plans are developed to reduce and prevent safety incidents
* Promote a consistent safety culture throughout the branch; provide operational data to safety committee; create and customize branch safety communication
* Conduct monthly Facility & OSHA inspections
* Support branch EHS audit program
* Ensure inspections by both internal and external parties are documented and deficiencies minimized and corrected
***Requirements:***
* Must possess working knowledge of the following: Accident investigation and prevention; OSHA regulations
* Proficient in MS Office products
* Strong organizational and information management skills with emphasis on detail and record-keeping
* Demonstrated ability to deliver training programs utilizing a variety of methods
* Highly developed verbal and written communication skills capable of
* Excellent interpersonal and observational skills with the ability identify branch training needs and assess the needs of trainees
* Proven leadership results
* Experience building and executing strategic plans
* Safety and security management experience
* Sustainability experience
