The Facility Security Officer (FSO) will be responsible for security implementation at Hunting Ingalls Industries (HII) wholly owned subsidiary, Enlighten. The applicant will report directly to the Director of Security for the C&EW business unit at (HII), but also work with the Enlighten leadership on all security matters, processes, and procedures.

The individual will be responsible for executing daily security activities, enforce control, and ensure company security policies are strictly followed. They are responsible for creating a secure working environment for employees, vendors, and company visitors. The applicant must have working knowledge and experience with the duties listed below:

* Possess the confidence to make critical security decisions concerning high value contracts and to implement security procedures that will prevent unauthorized access to company and government facilities or information

* Implement the requirements of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and the Special Access Program (SAP) Manual

* Process personnel security clearances and complete pre-screening questionnaires through the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA), Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT), and other security applications and databases (i.e., Access Commander, DISS, NISS)

* Design and implement Enlighten security dashboard reporting and provide direction to the Enlighten Program Management Office (PMO) and Leadership on security actions or issues

* Understand all active Enlighten DD-254 contractual requirements and support the issuance of DD-254s for subcontractors

* Provide clear guidance to company employees, and recommend modifications to operations policies or procedures as appropriate

* Participate in implementation of the company's Insider Threat Program (ITP)

* Own the company's Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) program; prepare training and assist in the administration of all security education and training for the Enlighten sites

* Responds to, and investigates, security infractions and violations

* Responsible for preparation, management and interfacing with the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) during audits.

* All other duties as assigned

**Security Clearance:**

* A current Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI full scope poly

**Required Skills:**

* Bachelor of Arts or Science degree. Educational requirements may be adjusted for applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.

* Minimum of 8 years experience processing employees for clearances at multiple levels and maintaining records of employee clearance levels, etc.

* Must possess good organizational skills, accuracy, communication, and interpersonal skills

* Must be able to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments concurrently

**Desired Skills:**

* Experience supporting/working with a SCIF or closed space

* TS/SCI with full scope polygraph
