As a Field Service Technician, you will be an integral part of our service team, responsible for providing on-site maintenance, repair, and technical support for automation equipment at client locations throughout Central Florida. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, commissioning, and scheduled maintenance of automation equipment at client facilities in Central Florida.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, issues to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks and calibration procedures to maintain equipment reliability and accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Provide training and technical support to client personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Document service activities, including service reports, work orders, and parts usage, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to company policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools in company-provided service vehicle, ensuring availability for on-site repairs and service calls.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Previous experience as a field service technician, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial automation industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems, and industrial robotics is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record; willingness to travel within Central Florida and occasionally to other regions as needed.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
