Field Service Technician

As a Field Service Technician, you will be an integral part of our service team, responsible for providing on-site maintenance, repair, and technical support for automation equipment at client locations throughout Central Florida. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform installation, commissioning, and scheduled maintenance of automation equipment at client facilities in Central Florida.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, issues to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  3. Conduct preventive maintenance checks and calibration procedures to maintain equipment reliability and accuracy.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  5. Provide training and technical support to client personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
  6. Document service activities, including service reports, work orders, and parts usage, accurately and in a timely manner.
  7. Adhere to company policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  8. Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools in company-provided service vehicle, ensuring availability for on-site repairs and service calls.


Qualifications:

  1. Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  2. Previous experience as a field service technician, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial automation industry.
  3. Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
  4. Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems, and industrial robotics is highly desirable.
  5. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  6. Valid driver's license and clean driving record; willingness to travel within Central Florida and occasionally to other regions as needed.
  7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay updated on evolving technologies and industry best practices.
