SOLATO is a fast-growing food tech startup that is disrupting the gelato-making industry. We are looking for a Sales Department Team Lead to drive and manage SOLATO s commercial activities in the USA. As the right hand to the Head of Sales, you will develop and implement effective sales strategies, drive revenue growth, and support the management of the sales team. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor to help shape the brand and immediately create an impact.


This is a full-time hybrid role; 3 days of on-site time expected per week in our SoHo office.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies and plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, target markets, and competitive landscape. Impact pricing strategies, sales quotas, and sales targets.
  • Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team sales goals. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork, and professional development.
  • Develop sales forecasts and budgets in collaboration with the Head of Sales and the Finance department. Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and adjust sales strategies as needed. Ensure sales activities are aligned with the organization's overall budget and financial goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders. Identify customer needs, develop customized solutions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with product development and marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee sales operations and processes, including sales pipeline management, lead generation, and sales cycle management. Implement effective sales methodologies, tools, and technologies to improve sales efficiency and productivity. Monitor sales metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze sales performance data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans. Conduct regular sales performance reviews and provide recommendations for enhancing sales effectiveness. Make data-driven decisions to optimize sales processes and drive revenue growth.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in sales management, ideally in the food and beverage industry, with food service experience a bonus.
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets and ideally - have experience in a scaling environment.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • The salary range for this position is $130,000 $160,000. SOLATO offers a competitive total rewards package which includes base salary, bonus, and a comprehensive benefits & perks package. Exact compensation inclusive of salary and bonus is determined based on a number of factors including experience, skill level, and qualifications, which are assessed during the interview process. Additional details about total compensation and benefits will be provided by our Human Resources Team during the hiring process.
