smartdept. is searching for a Social Media Analyst for a global health and wellness client located in the greater Grand Rapids area. This is a full-time, hybrid (2x/week in office), 4-month contract opportunity. Compensation for this position is expected to be $30/hour - $39/hour depending on experience level and fit.

This role will support global content strategies, social strategies, content productions, go-to-market planning, performance reporting, channel management, and more across social and digital channels. You will use your content and social media expertise, creativity, and strategic thinking to shape go-to-market content and social campaigns across Instagram, Facebook YouTube, web, apps, and training channels. This role may also require the ability to direct agencies, internal creative support, and internal community management to produce high-performing content.

What You'll Do:

  • Create and implement content and social media strategies aligned with brand objectives, target audience demographics, and industry trends to effectively position the brand in the digital landscape.
  • Conceptualize, plan, produce, and execute engaging content, including visuals, videos, and copy, tailored to various social media platforms to showcase products' benefits, educate consumers, and inspire action.
  • Plan, execute, and optimize social media campaigns and promotions, including product launches, credibility campaigns, education campaigns, to drive traffic, conversions, and support business growth
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, such as engagement rates, reach, conversion rates, and customer sentiment, using social media analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives and inform future strategies.
  • Collaborate with global and local teams across marketing, social, creative, project management, training, and other stakeholders to understand market-specific needs, gather insights, and align content initiatives with local strategies and objectives.


What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Experience leading content marketing social strategies across social and digital, including, campaign creation and strategy, content production, leadership of agency partners, knowledge of overseeing social media community management
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing content and social media strategies that drive engagement, increase brand visibility, and achieve business objectives.
  • Knowledge of brand identity, voice, and messaging guidelines to ensure consistency and alignment with brand values across all content touchpoints.
  • Experience with social and digital analytics including tracking, reporting, tagging, and understanding of content performance/usage and trends in various social media management platforms
  • Ability to adapt to changing trends, algorithms, and consumer preferences in the digital landscape and continuously innovate content strategies and tactics accordingly.
  • Skilled with Microsoft 365, especially Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint
  • Strong project and time management for prioritization, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple projects simultaneously
