LOCATION Winchester, VA POSITION/RANK Adjunct Instructor of Music Theory GENERAL INFO The Shenandoah Conservatory at Shenandoah University is currently seeking an adjunct instructor in music theory for online teaching. JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities include teaching a graduate-level seminar each semester (online, synchronous) and the possibility of additional undergraduate-level courses across the 20212022 academic year, starting late August, 2021.
QUALIFICATIONS A doctorate in either music theory or composition by the start of the fall 2021 semester; ability to design and lead a graduate seminar of sufficient breadth and depth to accommodate student instrumentalists, singers, conductors, and composers; experience in teaching sixteenth- or eighteenth-century counterpoint is desired.
