A Community Health clinic serving under-privledged communities, is seeking a Patient Account Representative to join their team.
This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring team members to be onsite each Tuesday & Thursday in Renton.
Overview of Responsibilities
- Provide feedback and communicate with clinic staff to obtain incomplete or missing information needed to process clean claims.
- Meet/conference regularly with front desk staff for updates of billing and coding processes.
- Review and follow up on unpaid claims with insurance companies using system generated reports.
- Review, correct and re-bill insurance claim denials according to established guidelines.
- Participate in process improvement through the use of HPLM system.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Skills/Qualifications
- A/R experience
- Proficient with CPC and ICD-10 Codes
- Insurance knowledge and experience
Additional Skills
- Medicare and Medicaid experience
- EPIC (preferred)
- Detail Oriented
- Computer Proficient
- Quick Learner
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am/8:30am start time
Pay: $19.44 - $23.62 per hour
Length: 5 months Contract opportunity (possibility of extension or permanent hire)
