Exciting Opportunity: Business Development Director - Global Real Estate Facilities Services


We are offering a dynamic role for a Business Development Director to join a leading global commercial real estate services firm.

As the Business Development Director based in Los Angeles, you will be instrumental in devising and executing the company's marketing and business development strategies aligned with the business's strategic objectives. You will lead the marketing and business development initiatives, ensuring accountability for deliverables and outcomes. Additionally, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the business lines, guiding them in their specific marketing and business development endeavors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee global Real Estate outsourcing financial modeling and regional outsourcing pursuits.
  • Collaborate with pursuit teams and national/local marketing professionals in crafting compelling proposals, presentations, and client-facing materials.
  • Cultivate corporate relationships with influential decision-makers across different organizational levels.
  • Take the lead in client-facing roles for large-scale, global pursuits, and manage the business's marketing and business development budgets.
  • Possess a deep understanding of each service line, platform, and value proposition, often contributing to executive summaries and key themes for major pursuits.
  • Direct and govern sales activities throughout the sales process, from qualification to negotiation.
  • Evaluate industry and business trends, analyze performance, and implement necessary business changes.
  • Achieve financial, operational, and other defined measures as part of client engagements, whether one-time or ongoing.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, organization, and controls for a significant functional area or department, which may include a mix of direct and matrix reports.
  • Approve recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action, and termination.
  • Monitor appropriate staffing levels and report on human resource utilization and deployment.
  • Provide leadership and support in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, performance appraisal, and retention.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience in finance, consulting, or analytics, with at least 5 years in commercial real estate developing outsourcing solutions, pricing, and org development models.


Certificates and Licenses:

  • Real Estate license preferred. Other relevant professional licenses (e.g., RICS, IAOP, COP, etc.) preferred. CoreNet membership and participation in local and regional events.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Outlook, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Experience working with large data sets and deciphering various types of RFP models is a plus.


Scope of Responsibility:

  • Makes decisions with a deep understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve complex results.
  • Responsible for setting project, department, and/or division deadlines, with an awareness that errors in judgment may have a long-term impact on the line of business and/or overall company.
