Surface Preparation Technician 2nd Shift
Walpole, MA
As the Surface Prep Technician 2nd Shift for Rolls-Royce, you will be responsible for performing various manufacturing processes in one or more areas, including: grinding, gaging and buffing propulsion blades, preparing blades for final inspection, multiple levels of packaging for blades including preparing the packaging and crating.

Key Accountabilities:
- Perform manufacturing processes such as cleaning propulsion hubs and internal components ready for inspection
- Perform packaging of completed assemblies and prepare equipment and/or tooling for Assemblers
- Ensure full utilization of all equipment whilst following health, safety and environmental procedures and regulations
- Show demonstrable team working skills for achieving targets and assisting with continuous improvement projects
- Show ability to lift engine components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds
- Have no allergic reaction to chemicals or materials used in performing related tasks
Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma with 3+ years prior experience in a lean/precision manufacturing environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products
- In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship
Preferred Requirements:
- Prior experience working with precision measuring tools, including Micrometres, Indicators etc.
