Movers. 30 temp, full-time positions. Work period: 4/1/20-12/15/20. Spike Inc., d/b/a Olympia Moving & Storage located in Hyattsville, MD. Email:...@olympiamoving.com. Tasks: prep, pack, load/unload boxes, furniture & other household items; wrap furniture to prevent damage; wrap fragile items in packing paper & pack into containers; move items into storage, new homes & offices & setup for customers; use physical ability to lift & carry heavy objects up & down stairs. 7am-4pm. M-Sun, rotating schedule, 40 hr/week, OT needed and varies. Raises and/or bonuses may be offered to any worker in the specified occupation, at the companys sole discretion, based on individual factors including work performance, skill and tenure. No min exp or education required. On the job training provided. Must be able to lift 75 to 100lbs. Must be able to stand, stoop & crawl, see & hear. Wage $16.37/hr up to $26/hr, depending on experience. OT varies at $24.60/hr, up to $39/hr. Workers paid biweekly. Employer will provide transportation from/to place of business to/from worksites in Carroll MD, Baltimore MD, Anne Arundel (MD), Howard (MD), Prince Georges (MD), Montgomery (MD), Charles (MD), Washington (DC), Fairfax (VA), Fairfax City, Arlington (VA), Loudon (VA) and Prince William (VA) counties. Single workweek used to compute wages due. Employer will make all deductions from the workers paycheck required by law. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a workers voluntary abandonment of employment. The
amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence provided at a rate of at least $12.46/day during travel to a maximum of $55.00 /day with receipts. H2B Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees) by check separate from payroll. Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job, and guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least 34 of the workdays in each 12 wk period of total employment period.
