Position Summary/Objective

The Territory Sales Manager sells our Product Identification printers and supplies in assigned territory directly to customers. These products are sold by demonstration, which requires transporting models to prospective customers and performing on-site demonstrations. The successful candidate will be innovative, self-directed, customer-focused, and possess strong troubleshooting, analytical, process management skills. Must have excellent time management skills, constantly seeking ways for continuous improvement, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. Must be action-oriented, exercise sound judgment under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and measuring a sense of urgency for customer needs and requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pursues new label printer business with prospective customers based on the information and leads obtained from Corporate Headquarters.
  • May travel outside defined territory occasionally to provide demonstrations and to advance sales as directed by the Sales Director.
  • May work with channel partners/resellers to promote and sell the label printers within the field sales region, as directed by the Sales Director.
  • Manages the schedule of sales visits in assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders and manages the relationships with customers.
  • Makes daily/weekly/monthly visits to new prospects and to existing customer accounts.
  • Demonstrates product and emphasizes salable features.
  • Works trade shows both within and outside of the assigned territory in company-branded booths.
  • Advises customers of equipment for a given need based on the technical knowledge of products.
  • Quotes prices and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained in accordance with company policy.
  • Prepares call reports, reports of business transactions, and keeps expense accounts.
  • Maintains CRM customer and opportunities database.
  • Prepares and submits monthly forecast with weekly updates.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university preferred.
  • 1-2 years of related sales experience selling high-tech, industrial equipment and/or supplies.

  • Exceptional organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong consultative sales skills.
  • Experienced in computer-based technical sales.
  • Familiar with Adobe Photoshop or other graphic design software.
  • Strong business ethics.
  • Motivated self-starter.
