JOB TITLE: Data Engineer (Databricks)
LOCATION: Hybrid in Foster City, CA (3 days per week onsite)
DURATION: 6 month contract
RATE RANGE: $72-77/hour
**TOP 3 SKILLS:**
- 5+ years of experience building scalable and maintainable data pipelines and ETL's
- Experience working with Databricks
- Strong fluency with Python or Java
SUMMARY: Our client is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire an experienced Data Engineer to manage and maintain company data stack tools.
In this role, you will be responsible for various duties that will include user management, data modeling/ETL, building pipelines, system configuration, security and providing support to the users.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience building scalable and maintainable data pipelines and ETL's. Specifically, you have experience working Python or Java, and Databricks.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Perform system configuration and maintenance that includes upgrades and patching.
- Build scalable and maintainable data pipelines and ETL's.
- Perform data source integration and model development using LookML.
- Monitor and manage the following:
- Scaling and performance
- User access/license
- Databricks cluster and workspace
- Documentation and training
QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience working with Databricks
- Knowledge of Linux systems
- Strong fluency with Python or Java
- Experience building scalable and maintainable data pipelines and ETL's
- dvanced understanding of SQL to extract data from the databases
