GALLERY ATTENDANT

**Casual Worker**Luckman Fine Arts

**Salary Range****:** $14.00 - $140.00/Hourly

**Work Schedule****:** On-call. Must be available to work weekends and occasional evenings. Temporary appointment ends on/or before June 30, 2022; non-exempt classification.

**Essential Functions****:** Under the general supervision of the Gallery Curator, the incumbent will be responsible for the security of artwork located in the Luckman Fine Arts Complex Gallery during business hours. The incumbent will welcome and assist Gallery visitors, ensure suitable conditions for visitors: oversee the gallery and the safety of art work; record and maintain various gallery records; provide exhibition information; answer phone calls; maintain the lobby foyer display cases; and assist with mailings, filing and other light clerical duties.

**Required Qualifications & Experience****:** College coursework in, or prior experience and knowledge of, contemporary art. Must possess good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with others and accept and carry out instructions. Ability to maintain a professional and attentive demeanor. Demonstrated interest or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.

**Desired Qualifications****:** Bachelor's degree completed or in progress; experience with Mac & PC: Word, Excel, Photoshop and lnDesign**.**
