SUMMARY
The Business Development Manager is the primary contact person for existing customers and responsible for developing new accounts. The following job description represents a multi-skilled job classification of a Business Development Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Identify and research potential clients
Develop and maintain client relationships
Coordinate with sales teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals
Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders
Monitor project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed
Gather useful information from customer and competitor data
Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives
Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business
Conduct ongoing market research
Work with the pricing department to create rate proposals
Drive the end-to-end sales process
Prepare and submit sales contracts
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors or masters degree in business management, business administration, marketing, and sales, or in a technical field related to our products (Desirable).
Proven sales/business development experience (5+ yrs.). Experience in the automotive/energy or related industry and specifically the UK Bus market or High-Power Charger market is a strong bonus.
