Key Responsibilities:
- Review trial records and identify viable issues for appeal.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support appeal arguments.
- Draft compelling appeal briefs, petitions, and other necessary legal documents.
- Present oral arguments in appellate courts.
- Collaborate with trial attorneys to ensure a seamless transition of cases for appeal.
- Advise clients on the appellate process, likely outcomes, and strategic considerations.
- Stay abreast of evolving legal precedents and appellate court procedures.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing of the Illinois Bar.
- Experience in appellate law or a related field.
- Proven track record of successful appellate briefs and oral arguments.
