Job Details

Our client, a non-profit focused on women's healthcare, is seeking a temporary part-time Copy Editor. This person will support their team in Washington, DC for ~5 months starting in June. About the Job:

  • Develop and implement governance and best practices for content and messaging to ensure consistent organization-wide communication with members and stakeholders.
  • Oversee digital and editorial content strategy, editing, and internal communications, ensuring adherence to editorial style guide and standards.
  • Support communication strategies and workflows for organizational programs, clinical guidance, products, events, and advocacy initiatives to enhance brand and reputation.
  • Review content quality to maintain brand integrity, ensuring relevance, grammatical accuracy, factual correctness, and customer-centric clarity.
  • Collaborate with editorial leadership and colleagues to generate ideas, troubleshoot issues, identify content opportunities, and optimize workplan efficiency for excellent results.
  • Lead the editing process for all newsletters, including the monthly member e-newsletter and chapter e-newsletters.

About You:

  • 3+ years of experience developing, editing, and producing digital communications is required.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Experience in non-profits is highly preferred.
  • Highly proficient in Wrike and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Able to work independently with meticulous attention to detail.

About the Position:

  • Pays $30/hr-$35/hr
  • Temporary for ~5 months.
  • Part-time; 23-25 hours/week
  • Hybrid 1 days/week onsite.
  • Office in Washington, DC.
