Position Overview:

The Sales Representative is a member of the Sales team and will be expected to evaluate the market, identify opportunities, develop business relationships, and secure business to help our clients accomplish their objectives. Responsibilities include networking, active engagement with our partners/vendors, and collaboration with CE colleagues to foster business activity with clients and prospective clients. The individual in this role will help develop/deliver presentations and proposals that address client needs while promoting the capabilities of CE. The Sales Representative will be expected to manage their client accounts to achieve goals regarding sales volume, gross profit, quality of service, and client relations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively network in the market to generate opportunities aligned with the CE strategy.
  • Qualify potential clients, plan sales approach, and work with Design to develop/refine solutions.
  • Coordinate with partners/vendors to formulate quotes and provide to clients in a timely manner.
  • Review each proposal and secure client approval on the order as well as the terms and conditions.
  • Engage with clients from the beginning of the sales cycle through project completion to help ensure client satisfaction; be responsive to customer inquiries and requests for information, including warranty requests.
  • Meet established financial targets with respect to sales and gross profit margin.
  • Coordinate with CE resources as needed to ensure a successful client experience (i.e., Client Services, Project Management, and Accounting)
  • Provide timely updates to our CRM platform (i.e., CORE), including information regarding new leads, sales forecasts, and probabilities.
  • Participate in weekly Sales meetings as well as training sessions and networking events.
  • Other projects as assigned.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities-Required/Preferred

  • Highschool Diploma/GED-Required
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work beyond standard hours-Required
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and offering solutions-Required
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively-Required
  • Working Knowledge of CRM Platform-Required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Outlook)-Required
  • Experience in contract furniture, interior construction, or real estate-Preferred
  • Familiarity with industry-specific products and technical knowledge-Preferred
  • Bachelor s degree -Preferred
  • Minimum three years of furniture sales experience-Preferred
