Job Summary:
As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating shipments from origin to destination. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of the logistics process and excellent communication skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and transportation vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Track and trace shipments using CargoWise to ensure timely delivery
- Communicate effectively with clients, both domestically and internationally, as well as with transportation vendors such as airlines, warehouses, and trucking companies
- Generate and audit vendor invoices for accuracy
- Coordinate the delivery of exports and imports
- Process export documentation efficiently and accurately
- Approve freight invoices and credit notes in accordance with company policies
- Handle charges and payments
- Familiarize yourself with customer and vendor agreements to ensure compliance and adherence to contract terms
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in export operations, with a strong understanding of the A-Z export process
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 and CargoWise1 software (preferred)
- Highly motivated and eager to learn about logistics
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Process-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills
