We are looking for a Predictive Maintenance / Combustion Supervisor to join Kaiser Aluminum Operations in Spokane Washington!


The Predictive Maintenance / Combustion Supervisor is responsible for the safe, cost effective and productive utilization of assigned employee personnel, equipment, tools, and contracted resources in the support of Predictive Maintenance and Combustion System programs.

  • Salary range $75,000-$110,000 per year based on experience

What you will work on:

Safety

  • Provide safety leadership for the assigned crews and manage individual accountability for safety performance.
  • Conduct safety awareness training.
  • Perform safety audits.
  • Conduct Safety Incident Investigations.
  • Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations


Work Planning, Scheduling, and Execution

  • Working closely with Maintenance Planners, manage Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks assigned to the crews
  • Work closely with vendors and purchasing as needed to support goals
  • Support Maintenance and Engineering organizations in scoping, planning, and execution of equipment outages.
  • Routine collaboration with Planning and Engineering to ensure alignment of project priorities and resources needed.
  • Provide timely updates on status of assigned tasks
  • Organize and plan daily/weekly work priorities and requirements based off the PdM/PM schedule and balanced against the production needs of the plant
  • Quickly assess Emergency and Urgent work, communicate effectively, and support repairs by breaking into the daily or weekly schedule as required.
  • Distribute work to crews at the beginning of the work day.
  • Review job plan feedback from craftsmen and supply information back to planning for updates.
  • Ensure that scheduled outages are communicated to the Operations group.
  • Maintain an active downtime work list to be accomplished when systems go down.


Supervision

  • Directly supervise ongoing work of PdM and Combustion crews for adherence to safety policies, best practices, and quality procedures.
  • Inspect work performed by the crews for quality and quantity
  • Consistently enforce company policies, procedures, and reliability practices.
  • Assist craftsmen throughout the day removing obstacles and maximizing their effectiveness
  • Management of crew manpower schedule timecards, vacations, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Training Coordinator to manage the ongoing development of the crew to ensure advancement of individual/team skills and understanding of local/state/national codes applicable to their work.



What you will bring to the position:

  • 2 5 years previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • 3 5 years experience as a craftsperson working on industrial electrical, controls, or combustion systems preferred.
  • Certification in one or more Predictive Maintenance technologies preferred.
  • Experience with medium voltage distribution systems preferred.
  • Ability to understand PLC ladder logic required; Allen Bradley PLC experience preferred.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • PC skills, including Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) software. (Maximo is preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work in teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge are preferred.
