Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team!
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial concepts, and regulatory reporting. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the financial success of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP
- Conduct account reconciliations and analysis
- Prepare third party reports; lender compliance, forecasting and other as assigned.
-Prepare and file quarterly and annual sales tax returns for CA, OR, NV and TX
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to support overall business objectives
- Provide guidance on financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification preferred
- Experience in a supervisor/management position
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field
- Proficiency in using accounting software like Oracle, QuickBooks, or NetSuite
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and regulatory reporting requirements
-Proficiency in Excel
- Experience in public accounting is a plus
- Ability to understand debits, credits, and financial concepts
