Job Summary

The Membership Coordinator is a dynamic, detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills. Primarily responsible for assisting the Membership Manager in the overall functioning of the membership office. This position is an essential role in supporting the department s efforts to manage and prioritize member recruitment and stewardship goals. Responsibilities include data input, computer/hard file generation, and maintenance and correspondence for the department. Knowledgeable in all club policies along with the facility, its amenities, and services. Generates enthusiasm for and interest in membership opportunities and exhibits excellent customer service at all times. Follows through on membership leads. Point person for department s phone inquiries/requests along with facilitating initial introduction and orientation of new members. Processes all new members, including tours, initial coordination, welcome packets, and election. Coordinates administrative work for committees and the membership at large.


Essential Job Functions

  • Maintains the club s membership database, and analyzes interest surveys and usage data.
  • Processes all requests for membership e.g. nominations, reinstatements, financial forms, etc.
  • Actively follows up with personal requests.
  • Leads club tours and new member orientations.
  • Maintains candidate files and follows through from start to finish.
  • Supports the Membership Manager with Admission Committee interviews and materials for meetings.
  • Supports the Membership Manager with New Member Orientations, onboarding, and stewardship events.
  • Supports the Membership Manager at Prospective Member Receptions with materials, tours, and introductions.
  • Coordinates and oversees member mailings.
  • Occasionally issues letters of introduction.
  • Assists in the preparation of materials for committee assignments.
  • Proactively explores membership opportunities in the local community, and with organizations who are connected to the club.
  • Ability to work Monday Friday, 9am 5pm as well as some weekends and evenings as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiatives to meet established deadlines, goals, and objectives.
  • Comprehensive software skills including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and others, with an aptitude to learn new technologies.

Salary Range: $45-$50k
