Overview

Operational Excellence and Technology are at the foundation of our strategic plan. Our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system will serve as a platform for predictive analytics, increased transparency, and real-time decision making all delivered to employees and managers in a straightforward, user-friendly package.

The IS Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing business needs, defining requirements, developing solutions, as well as implementing and managing our ERP system. The IS ERP Applications Analyst will have a thorough understanding of Grants, Human Capital Management, or Supply Chain. Prior ERP and/or Workday experience is highly desired.

Please note While this position may be remote, there will be times when the Analyst is required to be onsite at our Columbus, Ohio campus.


Responsibilities

System Analysis and Support

  • Plan, design, develop, test, implement, and support ERP system to meet assigned organizational needs.
  • Provide customer service to define business needs and translate those needs into system functionality requirements.
  • Provide system configurations as required.
  • Develop and implement data queries, integrations, and reports as needed.
  • Create and maintains high quality system, report, and interface test scripts.
  • Develop system documentation as required.
  • Provide troubleshooting, problem analysis, debugging, and resolution of assigned issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

IS Operational Support

  • Utilize IS Operational support systems to include Service Desk, Change Control, Problem Management, source and version control, and other systems as required.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships to ensure products meet the business needs and objectives of the Hospital.
  • Work to minimize systems outages and the effects of outages on Hospital users by scheduling needed outages to provide minimal disruption of service to users, proactively monitor and analyze system performance to detect and resolve production system issues and perform stringent system testing before implementing solutions.

Project Management

  • Knowledgeable of the Nationwide Children s Hospital IS Project Management Office (PMO) methodologies to include familiarity with defined project phases and project deliverables.
  • Work closely with the PMO for planning and status reporting.

Information Assurance

  • Knowledgeable of and adheres to Nationwide Children s Hospital policies, processes, procedures, standards, and guidelines governing privacy, security, and disaster recovery/business continuity.
  • Actively protects sensitive, classified, and confidential information.
  • Use and accesses systems and information only for authorized purposes and in accordance with security procedures and guidelines to perform job duties as assigned.
  • Follow established procedures to conduct reviews and audits of systems and information for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain systems to keep information and resources secure and safe from known vulnerabilities to include updating applications and systems with security patches and code updates, applying appropriate virus protection, and testing changes before placing into production environments.

  • Work with other IS staff in functional or cross-functional teams to meet goals, objectives, and responsibilities.

Qualifications

Experience : 3+ years experience providing ERP system support and analysis. Workday experience is preferred.

Education: BS in IS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience required

  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes with regard to build, enhancement, and maintenance of Application systems
  • Intermediate understanding of database structures
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external contacts.
  • Quantitative and Qualitative requirements gathering, evaluate technical detail, and data validation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external contacts.
  • Strong project management skills to lead medium to large projects on time and on budget.
  • Ability to understand network topology and remote connectivity options and functionality within an enterprise architecture.
  • Intermediate understanding of all Technology hardware and interfaces as it relates to Healthcare ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independent with little to no direction.
  • Assesses and manages risks to make decisions that result in best outcomes.


MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Position requires ability to talk, listen and type. Position requires the ability to interact effectively with customers and information systems personnel across the organization.
