Pride Health is hiring a Tissue Registry Clerk to support our client s medical facility based in Rochester, MN. This is a 3- Months with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Location: Rochester, MN 55905
Job Type: 3 months - W2 contract - with possible extension
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm.
Pay Range: $18-$20 (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.)
Responsibilities:
- The Tissue Registry Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of clerical and processing duties that include filing of tissue (fresh and formalin fixed), glass slides, and paraffin blocks.
- Other duties may include maintaining supply inventory, stocking, receiving shipments, and cleaning.
- The Tissue Registry Clerk works with various computer information systems daily.
- The Tissue Registry Clerk needs to be able to handle fresh and formalin fixed tissue, organs, and amputations for archival purposes.
- Requires the ability to be attentive to details and to adhere to strict safety requirements for handling hazardous chemicals and infectious agents.
Qualifications/ Work experience:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, and a background in science or 1-2 years of medical experience is preferred.
- Data entry in Excel; documenting data accurately.
