Sr. Network Planner- IP, Fiber, Fixed Wireless

As a Sr. Network Design Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and managing their network and data center infrastructure. You will be involved in projects encompassing hub planning, installations, upgrades, and service transitions, collaborating with internal network teams and external vendors to fulfill the diverse service needs of our shareholders and customers.

Focus:
- Proficiently plan, design, and implement network infrastructure using various tools and software.
- Demonstrate expertise in network protocols and technologies, including MPLS, TCP/IP, Radius, BGP, OSPF, RSTP, Packets, SIP, Ethernet, and RF.
- Conduct troubleshooting, upgrades, maintenance, and monitoring of network infrastructure, devices, and systems.
- Act as the primary point of contact and project coordinator for the network infrastructure team, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Conduct network capacity planning and performance evaluation using modeling and simulation tools.
- Develop and present business cases for network expansion and optimization, providing recommendations for maximum return on investment.
- Optimize network coverage area by employing various techniques and tools for improved line of sight and signal strength.
- Create and maintain documentation for network hardware configuration, setup, installation, and deployment.
Skill Set:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field; engineering and wireless certifications are a plus.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in network planning, engineering, and testing for fixed wireless and fiber optic network design technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of fixed wireless and network design protocols and standards.
- Mastery in utilizing network planning and simulation tools, including those tailored for fixed wireless solutions.
- Experience with fixed wireless and network design equipment from vendors such as Cambium, Ubiquiti, Siklu, Radwin, Tarana, Cisco, Juniper, or Ciena.
- Familiarity with routers, switches, hubs, bridges, RF Design, etc., preferably within a multi-site environment.
- Ability to select and install appropriate antennas, following best practices and guidelines for antenna placements.
- Experience with DC and AC power configurations and design for fixed wireless networks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
