Senior Oncology Infusion Scheduler
- Full Time 8am-4:30pm
Job Summary:
Reporting to the NAKA Supervisor, Senior Oncology Infusion Scheduler assists in the daily operations and performs a wide variety of revenue cycle responsibilities and provides support to the physicians and staff in the clinic.
The Senior Oncology Infusion Scheduler is a member of the Patient Access Department at Emerson Health. The Infusion Department handles more than 500-600 patient calls or appointments weekly, schedules and registers all services for all outpatient visits.
The Senior Oncology Infusion Scheduler in this assignment demonstrates a working knowledge of scheduling for Outpatient Services to include but not limited to: Integrated Clinical Services, , and Oncology Infusions.
The Senior Oncology Infusion Scheduler schedules patients in the outpatient clinic as part of his/her duties. The Senior Oncology Infusion Scheduler performs these duties face to face with patients in addition to performing patient calls.

Job Functions:
- Senior Oncology Infusion Scheduler is considered the clinical subject matter expert managing and overseeing the infusion scheduling and treatment coordination workflows.
- Oncology Infusion Scheduler is responsible for scheduling any orders and appointments requested by the patient s care team as patients depart.
- Senior Oncology Infusion Scheduler performs scheduling of appointments by phone.
- Senior Oncology Infusion Scheduler gathers accurate information, explains forms and policies and answer questions from our patients.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
. Bachelor's degree required.
Experience:
- hospital experience required, clinical preferred.
terminology coursework strongly preferred.
- Chemotherapy and general oncology understanding helpful.
Licensure and/or Certification:
None
Skills:
- An upbeat, approachable and compassionate approach when working individually with each patient.
- in data entry of patient information in the computer systems.

- in chemotherapy regimens and medications preferred
- 1 or more years experience in a hospital, outpatient facility or physician office scheduling or registration setting, or performing data processing is preferred.
- proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and moderate keyboarding is.
- of Meditech, Epic and Mosaic to access and utilize electronic medical records is preferred.
