Our client is looking to grow the computational team to expand the current pipeline of approved drugs, and they re looking for an exceptional modeler to join the team!
You ll build computational and multiscale models used in the simulation of physiology and pharmacology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop mathematical models used to simulate pharmacological processes across different scales (molecular, cellular, tissue, etc)
- Integrate diverse data sources into model development and optimization (in vitro cell culture, immunoassays, clinical studies, large-scale omics data, etc)
- Evaluate impact of uncertainty and variability on model output
- Continually research new approaches and techniques
- Collaborate with other computational biologists and teams to generate experimental data for ongoing model training and validation
- Create interactive visualizations for the successful communication and presentation at internal and external meetings
- Contribute to authoring of peer-reviewed publications
Qualifications:
- PhD or Master s degree in mathematics, computational biology, biomedical engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience developing computational models of biological systems and simulations in drug discovery/development
- Expertise in one or more scientific programming languages (e.g. Python, R, Julia, MATLAB)
- Background in QSP and other methods of modeling and simulation
- Knowledge of molecular and cellular biology and drug development
- Ability to process and analyze large-scale genomic and transcriptomic datasets
