Job Details
The successful candidate will be expected to work successfully and independently with a portfolio of business owners on a continuing basis, providing analysis to help them make significant impacts in their businesses. The position involves the key ability to interpret business situations and to develop quality, timely and impactful analysis followed by the ability to effectively communicate the implications in an influential, yet diplomatic manner. This includes a high comfort level with financial statement analysis and an understanding of accounting fundamentals. Equally important is a demonstrated effectiveness at interpersonal communication skills. The candidate should genuinely enjoy working with a variety of business owners in helping them work through challenges and achieve goals in their businesses. The candidate must also excel in a team environment.
This person must be adept at determining the root cause of issues, structuring the analysis, gathering the relevant information, managing expectations, influencing others and driving projects to successful completion. One must be able to extrapolate data patterns and complete timely analysis despite ambiguous or incomplete data sets.
Examples of projects include: Developing long range financial plans, forecasting, business valuation, cash flow analysis, analyzing monthly financial statements and evaluating / quantifying impacts of various business scenarios.

Ability to take on an ambiguous problem, structure an analysis and make relevant recommendations in a timely manner

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement relationships
High proficiency at spreadsheet modeling skills

3-5 years of financial analysis experience including financial modeling
