IT Campus Support
Location: Baltimore, MD
Schedule: 100% onsite Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
Length of contract: Contract until July 26
Hourly Pay: $26-30/hr
Background Check and 5 panel Drug Screen Required
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CONTACTS REQUIRED AS PART OF THE JOB:
Interacts regularly with clients (leadership, faculty, staff, and students) and other staff within IT.
SUMMARY
The IT Campus Support Assistant assists clients experiencing procedural or operating difficulty with desktop technology, monitor set up, conference room audio-visual equipment, and assists in technology move projects involving staff and faculty. Computer setups require enough mobility to go under desks and to lift 50lbs.
The successful candidate will be a motivated, proactive, client-oriented team player. The candidate will be organized and provide an excellent customer service experience for clients. Attention to detail, customer service focus and positive work ethic a must. Must be able to work a standard work week with flexible hours, including some evenings, weekends and overtime.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Minimum 2 years experience/college coursework.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to support work with both technical and nontechnical personnel at all levels throughout the organization.
- Must have working and operational knowledge of all IT equipment commonly used for workplace use and presentation support, including consumer and professional electronics. Includes, but is not limited to:
Computers (Windows and Mac operating systems)
TVs, monitors
Digital whiteboards
Video and web cameras
Cabling
- Demonstrated knowledge of general IT and A/V installation techniques.
- Computer troubleshooting skills and working knowledge of computer networks.
- Experience with both Windows and Apple operating systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required, especially the ability to listen and understand what is being described, with attention to detail in transcribing communications into help desk ticketing systems.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and a high level of customer service.
- Must have the ability to work with faculty, staff, and students in a professional, helpful, and friendly manner.
