At Katies Way Plus, we're actively looking for a psychiatrist dedicated to delivering top-notch therapy services to our Katies Way Plus-Alaska. This is a 1099 contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to diagnose mental health conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patients' progress and feedback.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in acute distress.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or equivalent certification board.
- Alaska State medical license to practice psychiatry.
- Strong clinical skills in diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of mental health conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Dedication to ethical and professional standards.
- Familiarity or training in DTMS is a plus
- Ability to supervise nurse practitioners.
- Tricare credentialed required
