Responsibilities:

Ruppert Landscape is looking for an Senior Accountant to oversee all aspects of the companys transactional accounting and treasury functions, including resource allocation and system monitoring. This accountant will be responsible for ensuring their team is completing all daily, monthly, and quarterly tasks timely and accurately. This accountant will provide reporting and analytics on their function specialties to managers throughout the company. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Controller and will manage a team of eight (including two direct reports).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor the AP team, AR team, and staff accountant, and be responsible for the performance of those teams
  • Evaluate the personnel needs of the AP & AR teams and deploy a strategy of utilizing resources in the most efficient and effective manner
  • Ensure that all processes and procedures are documented, understood by all team members, applied consistently, and updated when necessary
  • Work with stakeholders to establish expectations for the timing and format of deliverables, and monitor the teams performance over time to ensure that all expectations are met
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, and lead the effort to implement those improvements
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure that all systems used by their team are functioning as designed
  • Reconcile all general ledger accounts associated with AP & AR, and other accounts as needed.
  • Provide periodic and ad-hoc reporting and analysis to executive and division management.
  • Prepare cash flow reporting, reconcile bank accounts, and perform various treasury functions
  • Assist with audit documentation
  • Track and report on KPIs related to AP, AR, and treasury functions
  • Complete special projects as assigned to support the Accounting department


Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting (required)
  • CPA (preferred)
  • Proven management experience
  • A mastery of fundamental accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly developed attention to detail
  • The ability to master an ERP as a user and also in a support capacity
  • An aptitude for process improvement
  • Uncompromising integrity

  • A positive attitude and team-oriented mentality
