Vacancy: Plant Manager

The Company:
The Client is a Multinational Packaging Company that specializes in Flexible Plastic Packaging, Labels, and Printing. The company provides packaging solutions predominately for customers within the healthcare and Food & beverage space.
The role will report to the Divisional President. The Plant Manager will have full oversight and responsibility for all aspects of the Packaging facility.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of circa 100 Employees
- Full Budget and P&L responsibility for the site - Circa $40M
- Manage and direct the day-to-day functions of the manufacturing operations in New Jersey.
- Determine capacity requirements vs forecast and recommend needed capital expenditures to support business growth
- Look into cost-saving initiatives and opportunities for improvements at the plant
- Work with all departments to ensure that best practice is being leveraged and ensure that the facility is running smoothly
- Partner closely with Divisional and Corporate resources to drive process improvement and innovation that delivers value to the business
Education and Experience
- Bachelor s Degree educated with 10+ years of Packaging experience
- 5+ years of manufacturing management experience - Ideally as a Plant Manager or Operations Lead within Packaging/Print/Manufacturing
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Communicate effectively with all levels of management, including supervision and hourly associates.
- Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and analyze data and reports.
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn, all job functions in the departments in order to provide direction and leadership.
