We are a data-driven ticket brokerage company looking for an on-site Junior Buyer to join our Buying Team. The candidate's primary focus will be to research sporting and entertainment events and purchase inventory online with a "Buy Low - Sell High" mindset.
This highly analytical role covers all aspects of the ticketing process including purchasing, continuous pricing and inventory management. The position requires a solid knowledge of data analysis. If you love working with numbers, this could be a great opportunity for you!
The ideal candidate is someone patient and persistent who can translate their passion and knowledge of leisure and sporting events into profitable ticket buying and trading opportunities. Our most successful buyers have a natural interest in markets - anything from the stock market to the sneaker market to buying and selling on eBay.
This position demands a high level of motivation, a strong work ethic, and a sense of ownership. Finally, thinking creatively when exploring new buying opportunities is essential to success in this position.
*Compensation package is comprised of a base salary as well as monthly commissions.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyze potential buying opportunities
- Purchase tickets from a variety of sources both online and via phone
- Monitor inventory to understand what is selling, not selling and why
- Perform administrative functions related to purchased inventory
- Develop and maintain relationships with representatives at venues
- Assist with special projects and support team as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree
- Highly analytical and digitally proficient
- Ambitious and curious with a positive attitude and passion for music and/or sports
- Comfortable with numbers and understands how to analyze data to make decisions
- Exceptional organizational and operational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
- Proactive, self-directed, and ability to think outside the box
- Superior phone skills and communications skills
