Preowned Auto Logistics (PAL) is looking for a Director of Logistics Operations. The successful candidate will have vast experience managing logistics operation, can innovative, highly organized, and deliver excellent carrier and customer experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of positivity and accountability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including carriers and internal departments.
- Oversee the coordination of logistics activities to ensure efficient, timely, and safe delivery of vehicles.
- Collaborate with sales team to align strategic logistics objectives with overall business goals Negotiate and manage contracts with logistics providers to ensure cost-effectiveness and service excellence.
- Analyze and interpret data to identify areas for improvement in logistics operations and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards governing logistics and transportation.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators to track the success of logistics initiatives and seek best practices for continuous improvement.
- Foster an environment of teamwork and collaboration across all departments, as well as assisting with talent acquisition and employee development.
- Support the vision for future business growth by shaping, establishing, and fortifying scalable processes.
- Inspire team members to go above and beyond KPIs to delight customers and build brand loyalty.
Qualifications:
- A dedicated customer service mindset, previous experience in sales or hospitality industry is a plus.
- Proven experience in management with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of logistics processes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team development and organizational collaboration.
- Comfortable with technology solutions, including transportation management and payment systems.
- Ability to adapt to changing business environments and prioritize tasks effectively.
