As an Industrial Electrician, you'll be highly skilled, performing tasks at or above a Journeyman level, including the removal, repair, and installation of electrical components, systems analysis and diagnosis, advanced troubleshooting, and systems/process optimization.

Focus:

  • Perform removal, repair, and installation of electrical components and systems, advanced troubleshooting, and systems/process optimization.
  • Mentor or train other electrical workers as needed.
  • Ensure safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs and construction projects.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment, including substations, power distribution systems, switchgear motors, motor controls, process controls, and instrumentation.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge in AC/DC drives, PLCs, overhead cranes, management control systems, calibration of field transmitters/transducers and weigh scales, and low and medium voltage equipment.
  • Comply with regulatory agency standards for installations and renovations.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), safety protocols, and environmental guidelines.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and duties as assigned according to business needs.


Skill Set:

  • High School diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Completion of an approved Certified Electronics, Electrical, and/or Instrumentation Program; OR minimum of four (4) years of experience in Industrial Electrical and/or Instrumentation repair and maintenance; OR Associate's degree or Trade School Certification in a related field and two (2) years of experience in Industrial Electrical and/or Instrumentation repair and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical circuits and connected equipment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possession of minimum personal tools or ability to obtain them.
  • Experience with VFDs, PLC, HMI, and/or SCADA Control Systems (preferred).
  • Experience working with low and medium voltages, as well as AC and/or DC controls (preferred).
  • Familiarity with instrumentation devices and diagnostic electrical test equipment (preferred).
  • Knowledge of HVAC equipment (preferred).
