Let's create, innovate, and bake the world a happier place together.Role & Responsibilities* Perform routine maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including trucks and specialized equipment used in food production.* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure the continuous operation of vehicles.* Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they escalate, ensuring all vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, hours worked, and service history.* Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.* Respond promptly to breakdowns or emergencies, providing on-the-spot repairs and solutions to minimize downtime.* Manage inventory of spare parts and order necessary supplies to maintain an efficient and well-stocked garage.Requirements & Physical Demands* Proven experience as a Garage Mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.* High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified automotive or diesel mechanic program is a plus.* Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills.* Relevant certifications, such as ASE, are desirable.* Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and communicate effectively.* Prioritize and adhere to safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.* Flexibility to work varying shifts and respond to emergency situations as needed.* The position involves working in a garage setting within a food manufacturing facility.* May require lifting and carrying heavy equipment and parts.* Flexibility in work hours to accommodate production schedules and emergencies.What's in it for you?At the H&S Family of Bakeries, we value our team members and make it a priority to offer competitive compensation that encourages longevity with the company and long-term growth.
