Description
The Gig:
The Field Training Specialist (FTS) is responsible for the delivery, implementation and support of training systems and updates at our restaurants. The FTS supports the restaurants through the development of Certified Training Restaurants and Certified Training Managers, monitoring Managers in Training (MIT) performance, the training and development of Team Members and Managers and conducting training observations and audits. They are a key advocate for Training & Development by representing the function as a Training specialist. If this sounds like you and something you want to be a part of, we'd like to meet you!
Field Training Specialist Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure the highest levels of training standards at all restaurants
- Conduct Training Observation Visits and assist the General Manager and Area Manager develop action plans based on observation results
- Assist with Certified Training Restaurant visits to evaluate operational effectiveness and MIT requirements
- Execute touchpoints with all Managers In Training (MITs) during each phase of training
- Verify MIT validations
- Support New Restaurant Opening training
QualificationsField Training Specialist Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of current restaurant experience with training and/or management background
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. Spanish-speaking a plus
- Strong interpersonal/people skills
- High level of motivation and sense of self-responsibility
- Ability to apply and maintain standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and personal hygiene
- Ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills on an ongoing basis
- Requires up to 75% travel/remote work
- Be physically active for long periods, stand and/or walk for 8 consecutive hours
- Work efficiently in a variety of hot or cold environments (e.g. refrigerated areas, with cooking equipment)
- Work as quickly as certain tasks demand
- Knowledge of Food Safety and health department policies
- Excellent speaking and presentation techniques
- Strong time management skills
- Proficient in a variety of technology systems, especially in Microsoft Office and able to adapt to new systems quickly
