At Horizon56, we are developing and implementing cutting-edge software solutions for the oil & gas industry. Our success in implementing our software is now at a stage where we are scaling worldwide and, therefore, in need of an additional workforce supporting our deployments. You will join our team of support engineers where your focus will be to provide technical and operational support to our clients. Diagnosing and troubleshooting applications and monitoring and maintaining our production environments in Azure and Azure DevOps will be your main focus. You are also expected to join our 24/7 software support service on a rotational basis.


Job role responsibilities

  • Support to customers
  • Troubleshooting
  • Implementing fix/new releases
  • Implement the installation of technology solutions and hardware offshore
  • Write documentation and guidelines to simplify the technical deployment for our customers
  • Continuously work on optimizing how Horizon56 drive technical deployment activities


Required qualifications and experience

We expect you to hold a degree in Engineering or similar, preferably in a related area such as automation, network, IT or similar. Furthermore, you come with a minimum of 5 years of work experience. The ideal candidate has a background in the O&G industry working with support or implementation.


More specifically, we are looking for the following competencies:

  • Expertise within IT, hardware, hosting, cloud, network and software deployment
  • IT/OT Network and technical documentation experience
  • A proactive attitude
  • Competence and previous experience within the implementation of new technology is a plus
  • Articulate in both written and oral English
  • Working knowledge of Azure Cloud Environment and application services
  • Working knowledge of Relational database (MSSQL), windows servers and basic SQL programming
  • Ability to maintain Standard Operating Procedures or Knowledge bases and recommend changes whenever required
  • Working knowledge on ITSM, escalation processes and administration


Working location

This job requires the employee to work from Houston.

Additionally, there may be occasional requests for the employee to travel to other locations for business purposes to meet clients, or collaborate internally in Horizon56.
