As an Environmental Engineer specializing in industrial wastewater treatment system construction, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of wastewater treatment projects. This position requires a strong technical background in environmental engineering, hands-on experience in construction management, and the ability to think quickly and find effective solutions in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the construction and installation of industrial wastewater treatment systems at project sites, ensuring compliance with design specifications, regulatory requirements, and environmental standards.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to construction teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders throughout the construction process.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to identify potential challenges and develop appropriate solutions to ensure project success.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction activities.
- Monitor project progress, budget, and schedule, and take proactive measures to address any issues or delays that may arise during construction.
- Prepare progress reports, documentation, and presentations for project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and solutions.
- Provide training and support to onsite personnel on proper installation, operation, and maintenance of wastewater treatment systems.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to wastewater treatment and environmental engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental engineering, with a focus on wastewater treatment system design and construction.
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and technologies.
- Proven experience in construction management, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly and find creative solutions in a dynamic field environment.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed and work in outdoor and potentially challenging conditions.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to comply with safety regulations and protocols.
