salary: $100,000 - 125,000 per year

work hours: 8am to 4pm

education: High School


responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot PLC, HMI programs, instrumentation, and drives on production lines using an analytical systems-based approach
  • Analyze data to identify areas for quantifiable improvements within a rapidly evolving manufacturing setting
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement automation enhancements across multiple production lines at a high-speed asphalt roofing manufacturing facility
  • Manage the identification and implementation of automation improvements in PLC programs in coordination with the plant systems team, and report results up the chain of command
  • Facilitate change management processes and maintain sustainment documentation such as engineering drawings, manuals, process flow diagrams, and spare parts lists
  • Utilize CAD or other electrical drawing software to create and update electrical drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards
  • Conduct assessments of operating machines and equipment to ensure conformance with operational standards, identifying and addressing any discrepancies
  • Improve the reliability of electrical and control systems on machinery exposed to abrasive materials, enhancing overall manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment, implementing solutions rapidly without compromising quality or safety
