Description

We are looking for a skilled press machine operator to join our team. As a press machine operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various types of press machines, such as hydraulic, mechanical, or pneumatic presses. You will also ensure the quality of the products and follow safety procedures. To be a successful press machine operator, you should have previous experience in operating press machines, good mechanical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work under pressure. You should also be able to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and instructions. You must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and instructions to determine the type, size, and shape of the materials to be processed.
  • Adjust the machine settings, such as pressure, speed, and temperature, according to the specifications and quality standards.
  • Load and unload the materials onto the machine, using hoists, cranes, or other lifting devices.
  • Monitor the machine operation and inspect the finished products for defects, such as cracks, burrs, or warping.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on the machine, such as lubricating, cleaning, and replacing worn parts.
  • Follow safety rules and regulations, such as wearing protective equipment, reporting accidents, and disposing of waste properly.


  • Requirements

  • Knowledge of the basic principles and techniques of operating different types of press machines, such as hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical or electrical.
  • Skill in setting up, adjusting, operating and maintaining press machines according to specifications, instructions and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, work orders and quality control documents.
  • Ability to use measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges and rulers, to ensure accuracy and precision of the products.
  • Ability to inspect and test the products for defects, damages or deviations from specifications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor problems with the press machines or the products.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers and customers.
