General Manager
Overview
Intown Golf Club (IGC) is the premier private social club and lifestyle brand for people that appreciate the game of golf. IGC is currently seeking a General Manager (GM) to join the team for our expansion into Philadephia, PA. The GM will be responsible for the entire operations, which include the Food & Beverage Program, Golf Services, and Events Sales.
General Manager Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the member and guest experience to ensure that service and quality of product are consistently delivered at a world-class level.
- Oversee the kitchen, dining room, and golf services management teams to ensure the highest level of operation of the club.
- Oversee Human Resources including all hiring, on-boarding, orientation, training, disciplinary action, termination and off-boarding.
- Oversee P&L ensuring proper sales tabulation and reporting, proper payment collection and reconciliation, accurate sales tax reporting. Inspect and approve daily sales summaries and journal entries. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.
- Control COGS, labor expenses, and operating expenses to ensure maximum profitability.
- Ensure all employees are happy, engaged, and provided every opportunity to develop professionally.
- Maintain health department regulations and training. Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations.
- Oversee all maintenance and repairs needed throughout the club.
- Oversee banking including making timely deposits.
- Approve bi-weekly payroll for all employees.
- Regular coordination with the corporate team to implement new practices and policies.
General Manager Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a General Manager role at a premier private golf club, hotel, or upscale/fine dining restaurant.
- Extremely high attention to detail.
- Proven track record of developing and managing a world-class F&B program.
- Must exemplify a history of service excellence.
- Must be extremely personable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a P&L.
- Proven leadership skills.
- A desire for challenge and a talent for building high-performance teams.
