The Material Handler will effectively support full-scope operations in warehouse and inventory control at the Company's PDQC and PPC locations. Responsible for the efficient processing of incoming/outgoing raw materials, and adopting a commitment to exceed internal and external customer expectations.

**Work tasks and responsibilities**

* Performs incoming raw material inspections and files quality related documentation appropriately

* Identifies and places incoming materials and supplies in stock, recording inventory location

* Processes work order requirements of raw materials (picking, cleaning, staging, recording, etc.) to meet production needs

* Receives and records raw materials returned against work orders into inventory efficiently and accurately

* Accurately completes inventory counts as required (weekly cycle, monthly full, yearly full)

* Cross-trains with Shipping & Receiving Clerk and acts as back-up to the function

* Safely operates a forklift and utilizes a pallet jack to support business needs

* Safely operates company vehicle(s) to facilitate movement of goods between facilities and vendors

* Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections

* Maintains clean and safe work area, following 5S standards

* Proactively leads continuous improvement efforts to improve profitability, competitiveness, reliability, quality, safety, etc.in areas of responsibility

* Adheres to and promotes applicable Policies, Procedures, Safety Rules & Regulations and Security Guidelines

* Other duties and responsibilities as required for the successful operation of business

**Preferred educational background and professional experience**

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Minimum one (1) year experience driving a forklift, current certification preferred

* Minimum one (1) year experience working in a warehouse or loading dock facility

* Intermediate computer skills and mathematical skills

* Valid driver's license and good driving record, capable of insurability

* Fluent mastery of the English language

* Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles preferred

* Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without assistance
