**Description**
Union Hospital is looking for a Food Service worker who can provide support for the Department of Food and Nutrition Services, including patient meal service, cafeteria, and coffee shop services. Prepares and delivers food trays to hospital patients, performing any combination of following duties on tray line: reads production orders on menu cards on trays to determine items to place on tray, places items, such as eating utensils, napkins, and condiments on trays, prepares food items, such as sandwiches, salads, soups, and beverages, portions and places food servings on plates and trays according to diet list on menu card. Additionally, serves trays to patients, collects and stacks dirty dishes on cart and returns cart to kitchen. Washes dishes and cleans work area, tables, cabinets, and ovens. Collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers.
**Requirements**
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required or currently enrolled in high school.
Experience: One year experience in food service establishment preferred.
Work Schedule: 40 hours biweekly. various shifts, mainly dayshift, evenings as needed with every other weekend required.
