**Role**

Receive incoming business and commercial customer phone calls or emails and provide direct support to business and commercial customers. Acts as primary support for Capitol Federal's Business Banking products and makes referrals to Business Banking for sales and new enrollments. Provides exceptional customer service to all Capitol Federal customers.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**

* Answer incoming calls, emails and secure messages. Verifies business or commercial customers identity, determine the needs of the customer and provide accurate, timely support for their Business Banking products, deposit accounts and related services.

* Perform teller functions for business and commercial customers (i.e. transfer funds between accounts, and/or loan, stop payments, close and reorder debit cards, provide transaction history, process loan payments, etc.) to assure customers needs are addressed in a polite, friendly manner.

* Identify products/services that may be beneficial to commercial customers, provide information about their value and benefit and make referrals to Business Bankers as necessary.

* Assist other departments and branches with transactions as needed, provide support in fulfilling customer requests and merchant verification.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

* Must comply with current applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

**Requirements**

* One to three years similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.

* High school diploma or equivalent required.

* A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.
