Job Details

  • Know how to structure different elements on the landscape, like trees, flowers, rocks, tables, benches, and gazebos
  • Ability to do hard labor. This skill is very important as the landscaper will need a lot of energy to do this job
  • Flexibility: A Landscaper will need to be able to work at different hours of the day. This is because he/she could be running behind schedule due to weather
  • Great customer service skills. This skill is necessary for a landscaper to be able to relate well with their clients always. They will need to establish a working relationship with your clients and know what they want exactly and how they want it
  • Problem solving skills: There is a chance that clients may not have a clue about what they want. This is where the landscaper comes in. He/she should be able to create solutions to landscaping problems anytime he/she is called upon to do so
  • Critical thinking or analytical skills: Before rendering a solution, a landscaper will have to do a critical analysis of the problem. This will lay the foundation for the solution needed for the problem
  • Professionalism: The major relationship that exists between a landscaper and a client is first business, and as such that should remain the standard. A Landscaper should be able to see this job purely as a business and should behave in the same manner.
