About the Hospitalist/Nocturnist Team:
Boone Hospital employs a large team of board-certified/board-eligible physicians and nurse practitioners whose goal is to direct the care of our hospitalized patients. As the complexity of diseases and treatment options continue to grow, providers who are dedicated solely to the hospital, commonly known as hospitalists, have the expertise needed to care for a wide array of patients and diseases.
Working in conjunction with our specialists, Boone Hospital s Hospitalist Service works hard to ensure the treatment plan is accurate, reasonable, and communicated to families.
And since we know many of our patients travel a long distance to visit us and have primary care providers back home, our hospitalists personally reach out to primary care providers after each discharge.

- Responsibilities include an average of 2-4 admissions per shift (up to 6), and cross covering inpatient census. No codes or rapid response. Work alongside in-house Nocturnist.
