Columbia Medical Practice has been caring for generations of families since 2004. We are the largest private physician-owned multi-specialty primary care practice in Howard County. We operate on the PCMH model and participate in the Aledade ACO with multiple Value-Based Care programs.


We employ a full complement of support staff to provide the most comprehensive care to our patients and the best support for our providers. Referral coordinators, care coordinators, licensed nurses, certified medical assistants, and more. We believe this team-based approach allows each member of our team to focus on areas at the top of their respective licenses.


Ancillary Services

We provide a host of in-house ancillary services for our established patients

  • Same-day walk-in acute care clinic
  • Moderate complexity lab that has earned multiple Certificates of Excellence from COLA
  • Rapid PCR testing for COVID-19, RSV, and Flu.
  • Allergy testing (food and environmental) and immunotherapy in partnership with United Allergy Services
  • Cardiac echo, spirometry, nerve conduction, home sleep study, diabetic eye exam with a non-mydriatic retinal camera, and on-demand DEXA scan.


Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Primary Care Physician in Columbia, MD. The successful candidate understands the pivotal role of primary care and is committed to long-term patient-physician relationships. The physician will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to adult patients of all ages, including diagnosis, treatment, ongoing care, and management of co-morbidities. The physician will also be responsible for utilizing the EHR to properly document and code patient interactions, as well as manage their inbox efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

  • Experience in primary care preferred.
  • 2024 graduating residents are welcome to apply.
  • MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Current board certification (or eligibility) in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Current (or eligibility) and unrestricted State Medical License.
  • Current (or eligibility) and unrestricted Federal and State DEA Certificate.
  • Proficient in EMR/EHR systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability and desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in quality improvement and population health management is a plus.
